Tilapia, one of the most affordable and easily available fish in the market, is usually prepared with a bit of salt then fried. Nothing beats the simplicity and ease of preparing Tilapia this way, with the crunchy, salty skin and flaky, moist meat.
Every now and then, however, you’d want to try something a bit different that doesn’t require an enormous amount of effort and time to prepare. Just by adding a few ingredients, you’d be able to enjoy a different twist from your usual fried Tilapia. Here’s a Lemon Garlic Tilapia recipe that’s incredibly easy to prepare and yields great results.
- 1 large Tilapia
- 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice (you may substitute calamansi)
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried parsley flakes
- salt and pepper to taste
Bake: Preheat oven at 190 degrees Celsius, bake until cooked (flakes when pulled apart with a fork), about 30 minutes
Fry: Medium high heat until golden brown
I fried the fish in this recipe as we didn’t have an oven yet when I tried this Lemon Garlic Tilapia recipe. I like topping fried fish, well… almost anything, with fried garlic. If you haven’t any fried garlic laying around, you can fry some before frying the fish. It will also give your fish more flavor. Enjoy!
